MAN WHO WENT VIRAL FOR MUGSHOT NOW DEAD OVER OWNERSHIP OF A CHRYSLER 300.R.I.P DEVON LORITTS.

 

A Georgia man, whose mugshot recently went viral, was fatally shot in Tennessee on Wednesday during a dispute over a car.

Juan Charco, from Antioch, and his brother, Alberto Charco, were towing a red Chrysler 300 when they stopped at a gas station in Murfreesboro on Wednesday.

According to the Murfreesboro Police Department, 23-year-old Devon Loritts from Marietta, Georgia, and his brother pulled up in a Mercedes and began arguing with the Charco brothers. The argument escalated into gunfire.

Police report that Loritts was shot multiple times and later died at a local hospital. His brother was shot in the arm and is in stable condition. They said he ran in the gastation

Juan Charco has been charged with second-degree murder and attempted second-degree murder. He is currently held in the Rutherford County Adult Detention Center on a $1.5 million bond.

Alberto Charco was questioned by police and then released.

Investigators believe the argument was about the disputed ownership of the Chrysler 300.

Alberto told police they had towed the car from Georgia after finding it abandoned. Their Ford F-150 pickup truck overheated while towing the car, so they stopped at the gas station to let it cool down.

"These guys pulled up, and one of them definitely had a ski mask," Alberto said. "I’m not sure if the other had his face covered, but one had an AR rifle and the other a pistol."

Authorities stated that Loritts had previously purchased the car from Juan Charco. The brothers repossessed the Chrysler 300 in Georgia, and Loritts tracked it to the 7-Eleven Exxon in Tennessee.

After his mugshot went viral last week, numerous women offered to pay his bail through his Instagram page.
